Mr. R. Mahesh Kumar is a Chartered Accountant with over 28 years of experience, including 20 years in the media industry. He started his career with Citibank and also served in consulting firm KPMG and American Express.
Kumar was with Rajan Raheja Group, where he was the president and CEO of the Asianet Satellite Communications Ltd, before he joined Sun Group. He has been associated with Sun Group in the past too for over ten years in senior management roles.
Rahul is associated with Network18 Group since September 2015. Rahul has done his Masters in Management Studies from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai University. Prior to joining Network18 Group, Rahul worked with The Economic Times for more than two decades, where he rose through ranks to quickly become one of India’s youngest editors, and has also worked as its editorial director. He also launched ET NOW and helped shape the digital coverage of ET Online. He also has worked with The Indian Express in the past and is also on the board of News Broadcasters Association (NBA).
Rahul Joshi also leads the media and entertainment business at Viacom18. He looks after the entire Viacom18 business that includes the network's 54 TV channels in Hindi mass entertainment, regional, kids, music and English entertainment along with film studios and digital platforms.
